It's amazing how fast time goes by. It's was over 30 years ago since I met Lisa and came into your life. You welcomed me into your home like a second daughter. I thank you for that, and for all of your generosity, life lessons and fun times. My sincere condolences to all of your family. You will be sorely missed. God bless you always.

I only knew Louis a short time but am glad to have met him. He was always smiling and loved to share whatever he had. He would greet me warmly in Yiddish and wish me a good evening or weekend with a "Zei gezunt (be well) Kid". Of course he would always insist I take some bread. I will miss sharing some lunch of blintzes or gefilte fish with him. Our days at the office will be less bright without him.
May his memory be a blessing.

Poppy, (Louis) was a hardworking man, and a man who loved his family..
Every time he would come to Long Island, he would bring bread, tools, anything he’d find in his warehouse that we thought we needed, he’ll bring.
He would always make jokes like when someone responds with "Nothing", he’ll respond with "Nut & Honey that’s a cereal!"
Poppy, your whole family loves you, and we all wish you were still here ❤️

Spent a lot of time with Louis over the years. Always looked forward to seeing him. He will be missed. I’m so sorry for your loss. We all lost and grieve with you. Though I’m sad, I just keep remembering the fun times and so many memories of Louis and it makes me smile.

When you love big, you hurt big and I’m hurting. Very sad to have lost my uncle, but grateful to have had him in my life. Loved a million things about him and will miss him everyday. Rest peacefully. Love you.

Dear Marie, Lisa, Freddie and Family,
My deepest sympathy to all of you. There are no words for a loss like this. I only want to say that all my fondest memories of Louis and years of laughs we had together are running around in my head.
From the Four of us in the front seat of his convertible driving up 9W, to the times at Pier 41, to Tony's 30th Surprise Birthday Party. Always a friend, that will be sorely missed.
My prayers are with all of you and with him as well.
With Love,
Cara DiPlacidi

My sincere condolences to the family, I've known louis for 6 years as we were coworkers. He made the day go by with his stories and just conversations we would have. And he had stories for days, gonna miss the bickering with each other throughout the day, will not be the same. You will always be remembered and never forgotten.. Rest in peace Louis.

What can I say about the man I call daddy. He was a charismatic person who had you hanging on every word he spoke. The love for his family was immeasurable and and would do anything for them. Once in his presence you couldn't help but stay and see what he said or did next, sometimes shocking, sometimes not. He was the realest person you could ever meet and his honesty exuded from every fiber of his being.
There are so man fond memories I have of my dad and the time I had with him, but the most special to me is the time he got to spend with my son, his grandson, Louis. To see them form the grandfather/grandson bond will always have a spot in my heart.
I love you, daddy..I'll forever be your little girl.
