Obituary of Elinore Bullock

Elinore Bullock, 85 of Hackettstown, New Jersey passed away peacefully at her home on July 11, 2022. Elinore was born on July 7, 1937 on Long Island, New York to the late Jens and Ina (Thomsen) Wies. Elinore previously lived in Califon, New Jersey for 31 years before moving to Hackettstown. She was well loved by her family and cherished her relationship with them, always keeping things interesting with her wry sense of humor. In addition to being there for her family and friends, Elinore donated countless hours as a volunteer wherever she found herself "planted". She was actively involved as a volunteer for The Seeing Eye Foundation both raising countless puppies for the visually impaired as well as in their main office. She spent many years volunteering at the Tewksbury Township Library in Oldwick, NJ and was a founding member the Garden State Chapter of the Association of Late Deafened Adults. Elinore was a member of the Fairmount Presbyterian Church for several decades, where she served both as a deacon and church librarian. In her spare time she was an avid gardener, enjoyed reading, word games, and was a gifted writer. She also loved taking care of her dogs. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Elinore is predeceased in death by John G. Bullock. her beloved husband of 57 years. She is survived by her loving children: daughter, Linda Symington (husband Wes) and son, John Bullock (wife Heather); her grandchildren Alex Symington, Emma Bullock, Maggie Bullock; and great grandson Micah Symington. A Memorial Service celebrating Elinore's' life will be held at a later date.
