Obituary of Dorothy G. Busch

Dorothy Grace Busch, 85, of Hackettstown, died peacefully Friday, February 9, 2018 at Hackettstown Medical Center.

She was born January 10, 1933 in Hackensack to the late Bertram and Dorothy (Roberge) Henninger and grew up in Westwood. She met the great love of her life Alfred Busch while working at Woolworth in Madison and they were married on September 24, 1960. During their life together, they lived in Jersey City, New Providence, Piscataway, Flanders and Belvidere. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary several weeks before his death. Dorothy lived her final year at the House of the Good Shepherd in Hackettstown.

She was an active member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Succasunna and the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Hackettstown. While Dorothy enjoyed sewing, gardening, collecting dolls, and watching Yankee baseball, her greatest joy was being a Mom and a Nana, as she loved all children and all children loved her.

Dorothy is survived by her two children, son Donald Busch and his wife Nancy of Manchester, NH and daughter Gretchen Wolfrum and her husband Scott of Oxford, NJ, her grandchildren: Leah, Emily, Wesley and his wife Jalen, Aubrey, Joelle and Jaedon, her brother David Henninger, and her sister Helen Sellitto, both of Montrose, PA. She was predeceased by her parents, Bertram and Dorothy (Roberge) Henninger, her husband Alfred, and her sister Beryl Henninger.

The viewing will be Thursday evening February 15, 2018 from 6-9PM at Scala Memorial Home 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 (908) 852-2420.
